The next project (see top of the page) was another gift card tin, though again, it could be used for a multitude of small items. The top is adorned with a little innovation of mine, a Silhouette shape, the Star 3D, but cut in Tomato SuedePaper and folded to the star shape to make, instead, a lovely Poinsettia flower. I added a couple of plain leaves and some mini brads in pale yellow for the center, and Voila! The patterned paper used for this project was by Cosmo Cricket, and then various SuedePapers and ribbons were used (Forest, Cream, Tomato SuedePapers) and a couple of acrylic flowers in deep red.

Then a break for dinner! After some yummy grub, it was back to work! There were a lot of tag components and only a few of them were structured, so that we were able to be creative and alter tags as we liked. You’ll find a few examples below.

Finally, it was time to shop. Cynful Designs was done up all retail, just for the occasion. All in all, it was a fun and productive class for all! Be on the lookout for notification of the next class, likely sometime in January (think Valentine’s Day!) ø

Clayton Moore for Ranger Products. Ms. Cynful, and everyone she and I know (at least everyone who scraps) LOVES her Stickles (newly available at www.cynfuldesigns.com). It’s a great product…if you were going to sell it on TV, you’d need a REAL Ranger to sell it…and there’s only one. That’s why they called him the Lone Ranger. Hi Ho Stickles! Awayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.

Guy Williams (or Antonio Banderas) for QuicKutz. Zorro has been done a bunch of times, on TV and on the silver screen, for at least 50 years now. For the older crowd, it was Guy Williams on the small screen; for the younger crowd, Banderas on the big screen. Either way, when it comes to “quick cuts,” Zorro is your man! Look, the company name even ends in Z! What’s THAT all about? Can you imagine a “QuicKutz” commercial, with the logo spelled out ending in an S, then Zorro changing it into a Z? Now THAT would sell some products.

OK, so it’s Zorro for QuicKutz, but when it comes to moving that favorite product of theirs…it’s gotta be The Shadow, whether it’s the old TV version, or the newer movie version. Get it? Silhouette…Shadow…Silhouette…Shadow? Who knows how incredible this cutting tool by QuicKutz is? The Shadow do!! (also available at Cynful Designs…)
